HOW WE TREAT
MonaLisa Touch® and CO2RE® Intima use CO2 laser therapy, applied via an intravaginal wand, to create micro injuries to the vaginal walls. The laser reaches temperature thresholds for coagulation, contraction, denaturalization and subsequent stimulation of collagen. It treats vaginal atrophy and dryness, improving tone, texture, appearance and sexual function. It can also reduce chronic UTI’s.

WILL I EXPERIENCE DISCOMFORT DURING TREATMENT?
Some patients report mild discomfort with the laser handpiece insertion due to vaginal dryness.
IS THERE ANYTHING MY V-REVIVE SPECIALISTS NEEDS TO KNOW PRIOR TO TREATMENT?
It is important to report any history of sexually transmitted diseases (e.g. herpes) or current vaginal infections (e.g. candida/yeast) as these may require prior treatments. Specific to herpes, this procedure can cause a flare-up so if you have a prior history of such, you will need antiviral therapy prior to and after the procedure.
WILL I BE ABLE TO DRIVE?
You may drive yourself to and from your laser treatment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO TREATMENT?
Avoid all intravaginal cream and lubricants 24 hours prior to the treatment. We recommend that you shower or bathe the morning of the treatment so that the area to be treated is clean.
SHOULD I REFRAIN FROM ANYTHING AFTER TREATMENT?
You may return to normal activity as tolerated immediately after the procedure, but should refrain from sexual activity, douching, tampons, hot tubs and tub baths for 5 days.
WHAT ARE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE CO2RE® INTIMA PROCEDURE?
The possible associated side effects following this procedure may include vaginal spotting, mild vaginal bleeding, burning upon urination and discomfort. As the area heals these symptoms will subside.
HOW SOON SHOULD I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?
You may experience an increase in vaginal moisture and lubrication in the first 1-2 weeks after the first treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED TO UNDERGO?
Three. You will be scheduled for 3 treatments 4 weeks apart to complete the recommended protocol to achieve the maximum benefits from the CO2RE® Intima procedure.
